Much of the architecture of the market town of Witney reflects the famous history of this Cotswold town which owes it prosperity to the wool trade and the same could be said of The Blue Boar. Dating back to the 17th Century and overlooking the town’s market square The Blue Boar boasts exposed beams, classic colours and comfortable furnishings which come together with modern luxuries to create a memorable stay. Pull on your wellies and head to Cogges Manor Farm to meet Jonathan, Lewis and Timmy the Pygmy goats and their animal friends, or tire the kids out at the Cogges Castle adventure play area. Take a walk on the wild side at Cotswold Wildlife Park, one of the UK’s largest zoological collections, snap some photos at Crocodiles of the World, all situated near by.
