Winner of Italian Food Pub of the Year, the Red Lion menu is heavily Italian-influenced, offering an appetising range of dishes to suit all tastes and requirements, from casual to formal dining. Featuring a daily specials board, our Head Chef creates imaginative and inspiring dishes to suit all tastes.
Most famed for its pizzas, the restaurant also boasts an authentic wood-fired pizza oven which is used to create genuine Italian handmade pizzas. We are members of the 'Associazone Verace Pizza Napoletana', which ensures that the ingredients we use and our cooking method conforms with the criteria of 'The Real Neapolitan Pizza'.
Our menu is changed twice yearly to reflect the seasons, and features newly-created dishes as well as classic favourites. Our unique charcoal Josper Oven infuses a delicious chargrilled flavour to our fresh meat and fish dishes, is a distinguishing element of our food menu.
All our meat is of premium quality, 100% British and sourced from Aubrey Allen, who won 'Ethical Meat Supplier of the Year' three times. Our pork, chicken and eggs are all free range and our beef is dry-aged on the bone for 21 days to tenderise the meat and intesify the flavour.
With an open kitchen running the length of the restaurant, you can enjoy watching your dishes being prepared fresh to order. We also offer a special children’s menu, and cater for a range of dietary requirements.
A choice of freshly ground coffees, teas and soft drinks are available all day, as well as fresh, homemade cakes and pastries and our great breakfast menu.
