Our Mediterranean-inspired food menus offer an appetising range of dishes to suit all tastes and requirements, from bar snacks and light lunches to more substantial dinner choices, including a daily specials board.

The restaurant menu is changed twice yearly to reflect the seasons, and features newly-created dishes as well as classic favourites. Our unique charcoal Josper Oven infuses a delicious chargrilled flavour to our fresh meat and fish dishes, is a distinguishing element of our food menu.

The Red Lion also boasts an authentic wood-fired pizza oven which is used to create genuine Italian handmade pizzas. We are members of the 'Associazone Verace Pizza Napoletana', which ensures that the ingredients we use and our cooking method conforms with the criteria of 'The Real Neapolitan Pizza'.

With an open kitchen running the length of the restaurant, you can enjoy watching your dishes being prepared fresh to order. We also offer a special children’s menu, and cater for a range of dietary requirements.

A choice of freshly ground coffees, teas and soft drinks are available all day, as well as fresh, homemade cakes and pastries and our great breakfast menu.

    Our breakfast menu with hot and cold options is served daily from 9am until noon on weekdays and until 11.30am on weekends. From simple croissants and coffee to the ultimate treat of a Champagne Breakfast, there are a range of choices to start your day on our breakfast menu. Freshly ground coffee and a range of teas, with freshly baked pastries and cakes are available all day.

    A creative Italian inspired main menu offers tasty freshly cooked dishes for lunch or dinner. Sharing platters and lighter options include colourful salads with grilled vegetables, fish, meats or cheese or choose from an inspiring range of homemade Italian pasta dishes. Our speciality grill menu features farm-assured locally-sourced meat and fresh, sustainable fish delivered daily, cooked to perfection in our charcoal fuelled Josper oven. With its own wood-fired pizza oven, The Red Lion also offers a homemade Italian pizza menu, made from scratch with fresh, authentic ingredients. A specials board offers a daily risotto dish and fish option, and a tempting dessert menu includes some classic favourites and some innovative creations.

    Here at The Red Lion, we want our younger customers to enjoy themselves as much as their parents, and to reflect this, we simply offer a more child-friendly version of our main menu, all made fresh and from scratch. We also offer a selection of colouring materials and books for children of all ages, ensuring that parents can enjoy a stress free experience. Toddler cutlery, high chairs, booster seats, disposable bibs and convenient changing facilities are also all readily available.
