At Oakman Inns & Restaurants, we are always keen to meet positive, friendly, genuine, and focused individuals. To us, these are the basic qualities for working in this environment. Previous experience is important for many of the job roles but if you are the right person for the job, it’s not essential.
We believe that talent and dedication should be rewarded and so have a strong culture of promoting from within. From our original team, we have several front of house staff that have progressed onto supervisory and management positions. Likewise, in the kitchen, many of our chefs have seen their roles grow as suitable positions become available.

- You'll need to be over 18 if you are applying for a role that involves serving customers. If you are aged between 16 and 18 we still have other jobs you will enjoy!
- The best way to catch our attention is to send your CV to us via our website. Always ensure your CV is up to date and all relevant experience is mentioned.
- Include a covering letter. This will give us more of an idea about you and also gives you the chance to add in the extra bits!
- Look out for the “recruiting” banners on our website, which will let you know when we're putting a team together for a new opening.
- We advertise specific roles within our existing pubs and restaurants.
- If you'd like to work at a pub or restaurant near you, then we're happy to hear from you and will keep your details until a suitable position comes up.
- Fill in your details on our application form not forgetting to state which restaurant/pub you are applying for.
- We also love meeting people face to face so whenever you are passing one of our pubs or restaurants, please pop in with your CV and say hello!
