Italian Food Pub of the Year Award Winner!

We are award winners! The Red Lion has won Italian Food Pub of the Year at the Morning Advertiser Great British Pub Food Awards.

Shortlisted as one of three finalists out of hundreds of national entries, the Red Lion was bestowed the prestigious award due to its selection of authentic Italian dishes, and of course, the famed wood-fired pizza oven.

Recognised for its compliance with the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana which allows some of its pizzas to be awarded a DOC classification, the Red Lion's in-house pasta machine also helped to fortify the genuine Italian offering which makes it such a popular choice for customers.

Our new menu is also coming soon, which will celebrate the best of Spring and Summer ingredients, with some lighter stuff to be enjoyed as we head into the holiday season. And don't forget, as the weather warms up you can take advantage of our stylish al fresco dining terrace for an even more authentic Mediterranean experience!
