Our fantastic local cycle sportive is back, and this time we've teamed up with triathlon club Shires Triers to bring you an even better event.
With 50k and 70k ride options, the sportive involves a challenging route around the Chiltern Hills, with pub stops along the way, free refreshments and Get Buzzing bars for every rider, as well as free breakfast rolls at the finish.
We're also holding a Kids Bike Show in the Greene Room, courtesy of The Little Bike Company, with an additional opportunity to purchase spare inner tubes and accessories on the day.

Finally, another bank holiday weekend is upon us at the end of March, and Easter is a perfect time to make the most of some time off and to spend more time with friends and family.

Ladies' Day at the Red Lion saw a host of beautiful dresses, fancy hats, and plenty of champagne flowing, and raised over £5,000 for local charity Keech Hospice in the process.
The day consisted of a three course meal as well as live coverage of the races, and provided an opportunity for those not attending Ascot's famed Ladies' Day to enjoy the experience in the elegant and relaxed setting of the Red Lion.
A fantastic £5,000 was raised for Keech Hospice Care, a charity which provides terminally ill patients with the highest quality of life possible, while providing vital support for their family and friends throughout their loved one's illness and in their bereavement.
This is part of the Red Lion's ongoing support for local charities, as it continues to host fundraising events and provide financial contributions to causes which rely on community support.

Our coffee festival is coming to the Red Lion! This is your opportunity to try a range of different speciality coffees with our tasting sessions, coffee masterclasses, coffee pudding specials and sweet treats, as well as learning some interesting coffee facts - always good to acquire random bits of knowledge.
With three different speciality espresso roasts and two filter roasts for you to try, with different beans in each, you can brush up on your discerning coffee taste. All our coffees will also be available to take away if you have to rush off!
We'll be offering free tastings of our filter coffee at 8.30am, 10.30am and 11.30am with tasting cards to help you identify different flavours as well as an inspiring talk by our connoisseur and Coffee Development Manager, Tom.
There will be some indulgent coffee puddings specially created by our Head Chef, as well as a range of cakes, biscuits and tray bakes to compliment your coffee.

If you want an excuse to get all dressed up in the name of charity, then come to our Royal Ascot Ladies Day on Thursday 21st June, raising money for Keech Hospice Care.
Starting at 11.30am, you'll be greeted with a glass of fizz on arrival, enjoy a delicious three course lunch with a special menu created by our Head Chef, then watch the races on our large screen with a sweepstake and raffle, finishing around 5pm.
There will also be a photographer and some other surprises, all while raising money for a fantastic cause.
